An expunged record is just that – it no longer exists in so far as Being Used to judge your credibility or trustworthiness for most jobs. You Can RESPOND “no” when asked, During an interview, whether you’ve been arrested or convicted of a crime. There May Be a court docket number That Comes up but the details Will not be available to the employer – unless it is a Law Enforcement position, judicial position. Even here, it is not clear Can They deny you the job; They just HAVE A right to know of the case.

In California an expunged record May show up on a criminal background check. A California expungement does not erase a criminal conviction. Rather, it updates the record of conviction to Reflect That the guilty plea speed Been with drawn, a? Not Guilty? pleasent speed Been Entered into ITS placement, probation is terminated, and the case hock Been Dismissed. If someone does a background check on you, even after an expungement, Do They Still May see that the conviction did take place. But They Will Also see that it was later successfully expunged. Expungement is still helpful Because under California law an employer May note Discriminator Against you for being Involved in any jail That did not result in a conviction, inquire about the Fact That You suffered an arrested That did not result in a conviction, or Discriminator Against you based on the Fact That You Have expunged Convictions.
