Will a California 5150 show up on a background check?

Will a 5150 (72 hour psych hold danger to self or others) show up on a background check. It was from When this person was just about to turn the 16th He is just about to turn 18 now. If somebody runs a background check on sky in a month after he turns 18, Will this show up on there? I can not entertain guess. I need solid answers. Thanks in advance for your help. He was a minor at the time and it was a maximum 72 hour psych danger to self or others hold (5150). It was for suicidal Threats.

That is not a criminal charge – Beside The Fact That It was while a juvenile, so I would not worry about that. Criminal Background Checks only show Arrest and disposition. Even though you are Technically ceilings Into custody by the Police to Be transported to a hospital for That evaluation, it Is Not Considered an arrest and is not a crime.

I’ve never heard of a 5150 on a juvenile before. I Would Think They Would Need Parental Consent. I can not see how anyone Could Meet the Reporting Criteria if the person was under 18 at the time. The primary reason for the Reporting 5150s is the Weapon Ban. A 16 year old could not buy a weapon anyway.

5150 is most Certainly a juvenile thing as well as adult. Its not just about weapon restriction Its about Protecting the public and people from Them Selves. It depends on what kind of background check is being done. If its a Civilian check for non government Employment IT Should not show up. If it is a check for weapons purchase or a government position, THEN IT Will Be seen.
