Moving to another state, does the DUI transfer on background checks?
My brother wants to move from California to Texas, and need to know if his DUI conviction of about 1 year ago Will Appear on his record When Texas Employers run a background check. He Currently Has a standard California DL, No Restrictions, and Has No Other Convictions on his record.

It depends on the employer sometime employer only due local background check for the counties and State you live in. If They do a complete IT Will Show Up. It cost the company more to screen for Other States though.

background checks are not done by state, They do your whole background No Matter Where You lived. if he lived in Vermont 15 years ago, They Would Know IT.

Yes, When criminal background checks are conducted They Uncover CRIMINAL backgrounds. An Employer Should do a check through all 50 states if They want to be Thorough, but a Texas company Should, at minimum, check, Texas and California,

Ya OK, your brother. . sure. . but anyway. . It depends. on how in depth a check They do. . the best thing he can do Is Never Lie to a potential employer Because if for some reason They do check on sky. . They Can hadeeth fire heaven with out cause. . If he is getting a job elsewhere he Will Be driving a company vehicle Their Insurance Company Will check on Their Own and hadeeth Will it show. .

Yes. A DUI Will follow a person around for the Rest of Their Lives. The state of conviction is irrelevant. And rightfully so.

Yes and No! Yes if a big agency wants to pay for a nationwide criminal background it Will Show Up! But Most companies only Require That You get a local criminal check so it probably Would not show up for local jobs like the Gap or Old Navy

Yes, his DUI Will still show on his California DL record. However, it Will not show up on his Texas DL record. If the background check is at all Thorough, They Will check his driving record in CA if Necessary. Depending upon the employer, They May not Require his CA driving record.
