Does anyone know how far back criminal background checks go? I heard that FCRA allows back 7 years?
I am wondering Because I-committed two felonies when i 17, but Then I got Charged as an adult. I Am Trying to Make Sense of the FCRA. If it’s done by a third person it’s different. Also When They say California allows only seven years back on criminal checks, does that Apply to someone WHO Would Move to California from another state? Could They hadeeth go back morethan 7 years?

The records go back to your 18th birthday, or as father back as the Earliest crime you got waived intonation adult court for. How far the Employer Can Go Back May Be a Matter of Law, but the record Itself ice permanently.

The FCRA speed Been amended and Employers May now go back morethan seven years. Many Employers Do not for conformity’s sake but Their are some States That Do not allow Employers to go back past seven years (like California That You mentioned). You Can Find a list of states here http://www. crimcheck. com / support / index. php? _m = knowledgebase & _a = viewarticle & kbarticleid = 63 As long as you are being Employed in California hadeeth That Applies law, even if you moved from another state.
