Do you have to pass a background check to rent a gun in California to shoot at a range?

I’ve always wanted to try shooting a gun and my friend and I thought It would be fun to go shooting at a range. I can not purchase a gun Because I Would not pass a background check. However I was wondering if the Same Laws Apply to renting?

If You Can not Legally purchase a firearm Because of a criminal record, hadeeth You are Prohibited from shooting at a range. If you are under 18, You Need to Be accompanied by an adult. If you are ages 18-20, but Have a clean criminal background, Then You Can still shoot at a range.

If you can not pass a background check, you must ask a Felon or mentally Incompetent. With That said if you are in possession of a firearm, you Will Be committing a Felony-even if the firearm is rented. If you get busted you Would be looking at prison time.
